Bruce Moburg Obituary
Bruce MOBURG 17 March 1921 ~ 22 November 2007 Seattle artist, Bruce Moburg, died Thanksgiving Day after a long illness. His career began with Ballard High School yearbook designs. After serving in the Navy in World War II, he attended art school in Los Angeles and Burnley Art School, working as a graphic designer and artist at Boeing and the University of Washington, where he enjoyed designing Husky cartoons and Drama School posters. His paintings appeared at the Northwest Annual Art Shows, the Frye Art Museum, and many Seattle galleries. Pioneer Square and Surreal Seattle paintings and posters can still be seen in public buildings around Seattle. A gentle, modest man, he leaves his oldest child, Marsha Moburg Sheahan, and sons, Chris and Tony Moburg, their mother, Medora, and nephews, Mark and Frank. A Celebration of his Life will be held in the Spring at Lake Wenatchee, date to be announced.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
