Marie Louise Stone

September 7, 1914 - July 4, 2017

On July 4th, 2017 Marie Stone died peacefully in her sleep at home in Napa.
Marie was born in Waddington, California, one of five children to Clothilda and Joseph Katri. She grew up in Ferndale, California and later attended Providence Nursing School in Oakland. She began her nursing career in Eureka.
During WWII she joined the military where she met George Stone. They married and moved to Vallejo where she continued her nursing career working for Solano County Hospital until she was in her mid-seventies. After George died, Marie continued working as a nurse and supporting her five children.
Marie is survived by Bernadette (David) Edrosolan, Rodney (Jocelyne) Stone, Michael (Cathy) Stone and George Jr. She loved her 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, the San Francisco Giants and the Golden State Warriors.
A funeral mass will be at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church 3700 Lassen Street, Napa Ca. 94558 on July 15th at 1:00 p.m. Following the funeral mass, there will be a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice by the Bay or your favorite charity are appreciated.
