Our Dad passed away peacefully early on Sunday morning. He was born in Berkeley, CA to Bing Yue Soo and Ivy Dang and was the youngest of eight children. He was a third generation Chinese-American and lifelong resident of the East Bay Area, living in El Cerrito for 64 years.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Mr. Soo always helped his daughter,Linda with home work. He must have been very proud of her achievements.

I never met Al but reading about his WWII experiences was like reading the script for a movie -- he was a true America hero. I hope his great-great-great-grandchildren remember his name and stand tall for having such a heritage in their family history. My condolences to all who loved him.
