She was wonderful. I remember her teaching us to cook when I attended NDV. A truly great lady.

Yvonne was a gift from above, everything she touched she changed for the better. Her smile, her wink and her chuckle filled you with love.
Boy did she love life and life loved her right back, blessing her with a fantastic family and wonderful friends. Yvonne, could never do enough; her generosity was unlimited. Her heart was in everything and nothing was too big of a challenge. Yvonne as always will be in our thoughts and prayers. Love you always my dearest cousin, Sandy and Felipe.

What a remarkable woman in so many ways and how impoverished we must all feel at Yvonne’s passing. Few indeed are those who have shown more love and care for strangers. I’d not seen Yvonne much in recent years but her joyful example left a huge imprint on me (as on so many others) beginning way back in my childhood days at NDV with the Sangiacomo brood. What an extraordinary and wonderful Catholic woman, and what a legacy she leaves for us all. My family and I send our most earnest condolences and three kisses to all Sangiacomos. I will think of Yvonne often, certInly including each time I tend bar at Little Sisters of the Poor! She has gone home; che Dio la benedica a questa dulcissima donna.

Peter and I extend our heartfelt condolences to Yvonne's children and all her family and friends.
I was privileged to enjoy friendship with Yvonne for many years. Her talents were quiet, yet powerful. She was a leader and ran meetings with an ethic of care. I remember going to a meeting committed to not taking on a task but rather writing a check. Yvonne told me I would be the best for a job while her smile lit up the room. I left happy to do the work and wrote the check as well. She 'worked' a room fast while making each person feel special. She and her beloved Angelo supported so many in need and they were great supporters of the Little People Fishing Program that helped thousands of kids each summer.
The Catholic tradition owes much to Yvonne because she was the best of what a Catholic should be. She was generous and kind. A great friend. She was full of grace, and God was always with her.

What I remember most about Mrs. Sangiacomo was her generosity and thoughtfulness. I remember sitting in bleachers at Craig and Matt's baseball games and Mrs. Sangiacomo would appear with a gigantic picnic basket of treats for all the NDV families!! I ran into her several years back at the cheese shop near Tower Market and we had some good laughs. I'm so sorry, Anna and family, for your loss. Such a treasure, and it seems she truly lived life to its fullest.

Yvonne and I grew up on Hartford Street and somewhere between the age of 7 and 9 she became my first heartthrob ... although she didn't know it.
Even as a child Yvonne had that great warm smile and fun loving leadership personality.
We also had a common thread as both our fathers were in the restaurant business, Bimbo's and Tadich Grill ... 2 San Francisco landmarks and have remained friends throughout the years.
Yvonne will always be fondly remembered for her generosity by all who have ever known her.

Dear Sangiacomo family my deepest sympathy. As is well documented Yvonne was a very special lady. I met her many years ago and was always happy to see her at Little Sisters events. She was always so kind to me. My prayers are with all of you. I’m sure she is in heaven planning a white tie gala!!!!!

I will always remember Yvonne and happen to be one of the lucky recipients of one of her $2 dollar bills with a heart on it. I still have it in my wallet. She gave it to me on my birthday, a few years ago, when she, Jim and Gerry stooped at my table while celebrating at Spruce restaurant. She was a force of good and blessed so many with her generosity and kindness. May she continue to do so in heaven.
