Alexander Santos Obituary

Alexander Santos A kind and gentle man, peacefully left his beloved San Francisco on December 18, 2011. He was 93. For decades he was very involved with the Native Sons of the Golden West Sea Point Parlor and was a past president, member of their Drum and Bugle Corp., and honorary member of the V.F.W. Drum and Bugle Corp., but his first love was music. He was an organist at the New Filmore Theater, The Avenue Theater, played at St. Francis Church, and was a member of the American Theatre Organ Society. Alex will be remembered by his God sons Earl Titman, Daniel Titman, and the friends he loved who showed extraordinary kindness during his final years. Services will be held Thursday, December 22, at 10:00 a.m., at Valente Marini Perata & Co., 4840 Mission St., San Francisco. Committal afterword at Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma. Donations can be made to Coming Home Hospice, 115 Diamond St., San Francisco.
