Ed Creighton Obituary

Ed Creighton April 3, 1943 - Feb 25, 2006 Passed away on February 25, 2006 at the age of 62. He was born in San Francisco and attended Epiphany School, Riordan High School and the University of Santa Clara. Known as Mr. Personality in the bar business, he owned and operated the Lake Merced Lodge, the Marina Lounge, Silhouettes and the Rockin Robin on Haight St. in SF. Before retiring, he was the general manager of Castagnolas at Fisherman's Wharf in the City. During his retirement, he traveled extensively in the US, Mexico and Canada with the love of his life, Amy. Ed was a true sports enthusiast and enjoyed following the Bay Area high school teams. He regularly attended local games and was also an avid Giants & 49ers fan. In his travels with Amy he enjoyed attending professional baseball games at the various stadiums across the US. Ed was the son of the late Edward and Viola Creighton. He will be missed by his devoted partner Amy; his sisters Jackie Nilan and Geri Pesce; brothers-in-law Mike Nilan and Mark Pesce; and his three nieces, Stefanie, Jean and Claudia. He will also be missed by his cousins and their families and Ed's many friends. The outpouring of support shown during his illness reflected the close relationship he shared with his friends and family. Ed was a good hearted, fair and caring person who was always quick with a smile. No one will ever forget that twinkle in his eye. The family would like to thank Dr. David Lakes and the nurses in the Infusion Center at Terra Linda Kaiser for their care and support during the 12 years of Ed's illness. Family and friends may visit 5pm to 9pm and to attend the Funeral Service Tues. at 7pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Hanna Boys Center, Sonoma, CA or Hospice of Marin.
