Anne Wheatcroft Obituary

Anne Wheatcroft
Anne Stuart Wheatcroft passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, at the age of 92. She will be remembered for her warmth, optimism, and kindness.
Born in Glendale and raised in La Cañada, CA, Anne attended John Muir High School where she proudly marched as a flag girl, and later studied at the University of California, Berkeley. At Cal, she joined Pi Beta Phi Sorority, where she made lifelong friendships, and met the love of her life, Gary Wheatcroft. Married for nearly 65 years, Anne and Gary were a dynamic duo who shared a "Go Bears" attitude, forever hoping Cal would make it to the Rose Bowl. Early in her career, she was an elementary school teacher and later worked as Gary's legal secretary.
Anne and Gary raised their daughters, Jane and Monie, in Pasadena, where their home was filled with love, music, and legendary New Year's Day parties. She supported Pi Beta Phi, the Pasadena Beautiful Foundation, and the Braille Institute. A lifelong optimist, Anne delighted in gardening, design, science, and architecture, and was a proud patriot who cherished her community and country.
Anne was the loving mother of Jane (Chip) Wiser and Monie TenBroeck (the late Steve); "Gama" to Ali McClure (Alex), Emily Marshbank (Dustin), and Charlie Wiser (Genevieve); and great-grandmother to Cal and Jackson McClure. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Rienstra. She was predeceased by her husband, Gary; parents, Dory and Bill Stuart; and sister, Mary Stuart.
Anne leaves behind a legacy of joy, generosity, and love.
