Jim J. Montgomery

1943 - 2018

Jim Montgomery grew up in Kansas, and graduated from Hiram Johnson High School in Sacramento, Sacramento Community College, and Saint Mary's College in Moraga, CA. Passed away on Aug. 7 th in El Cerrito, CA. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Predeceased by first wife, Diane, and mother and father, Bernice and Merlyn. Survived by his loving wife Linda Rose; sons, Mark (Frances), Steve (Jenny), Dave (Barb); stepson, Greg Milton; grandchildren, Sara, Elizabeth, and Grace; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Maurice (Connie), Tim (Robbie) and Tom (Dawn) and several nieces and nephews.
Jim loved RVing throughout the US, Canada, and Alaska; traveling throughout Europe, Costa Rica, China, Australia, and the Caribbean; bike riding on California trails; and teasing his grandchildren. He was an avid genealogist and wine enthusiast. He spent over 50 years in computers and semiconductors and had his own business for several years.
Donations in his memory may be made to the American Association of Kidney Patients (https://aakp.org), Hopalong and Second Chance Animal Rescue (http://www.hopalong.org ) or the charity of your choice.
