I wish to send my deepest sympathy to Mrs. Katagiri and to the rest of Mineo's family. Mineo was a very close friend of my father, Sheldon, and my mother, Marie. Our family mourns his loss as heaven rejoyces at its gain.

Mineo was our "Campus Minister" at Pilgrim Club, the house University Congregational Church rented to an odd lot of us. I've often remembered the times we had there in 1964 and '65. I'm sure we gave Mineo plenty of excitement as our mentor and guide to adulthood and the politics of the civil rights movement. We also called Mineo by the special term of affection "myneokataginidir", the name a lot of his junk mail came addressed to. Mineo, I know we will all remember you forever.
