Alma Sanguinetti Obituary

Alma Maria Sanguinetti Resident of Menlo Park Beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at home on March 20th, 2010, the first day of spring. Alma was preceded in death by her father Agustin La Farga and her mother Petra Rodriguez. Loving mother of Angelica Michela and son in law Barney, Anthony Sanguinetti and daughter in law Christine, Stephen Sanguinetti and daughter in law Heather; Cherished Grandmother of Michael Michela, Matthew Michela, Anthony Sanguinetti, Morgan Sanguinetti, Michael Sanguinetti, Saundra Sanguinetti, Audrey Sanguinetti and Anna Sanguinetti; Devoted sister of Alicia Flores, Alejandrina Villagran, Albanita Gonzalez, Altagracia Islava, Agustin La Farga and Angelica Appel; Adored Godmother, Aunt and Great Aunt to scores of nieces, nephews, godsons and goddaughters. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in San Francisco and received her Associates Degree in Interior Design from Canada College. A Bay Area resident for over 40 years, Alma celebrated life with enthusiasm, enjoying a unique and tireless passion for travel, music, reading and her beloved garden. She was a gifted artist, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful paintings, skills of which were only surpassed by her affinity for gourmet cooking. Most importantly, Alma was dearly loved by her family and friends for her singular and unconditional devotion to helping those in need. Throughout her life she helped change the lives, for the better, on individuals too numerous to mention. Alma dedicated much of her time to numerous charities that assisted those less fortunate than she, especially the hungry, homeless and abused. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Anthony's Padua dining room in Menlo Park and St. Francis Center in Redwood City.

Dear Angelic, Anthony and Stephen,
We were so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I had planned on going to the mortuary but I came down with a very bad cold and don't want to spread it around and Joe does not drive anymore.
We share so many fun loving memories with all of you from the past.
I'm sure your mom will always be close to all of you.

Blessings to all of you,
Alice Vargas
