Lauren Leisure Obituary

Lauren Michele Leisure Passed away last week at the too young age of 25. She was a sweet, beautiful girl with piercing blue eyes and a memorable smile. She brought tremendous joy to her family and touched many people during her short life. Lauren grew up in San Francisco, attended St. Luke's pre-school and Convent Elementary. She went to the Drew School before graduating from Mission High School. Lauren had recently returned to San Francisco after living for the past 5 years in Newport Beach, California. Lauren was talented and ambitious. Her two passions were food and fashion, and she always found work in these competitive fields. In San Francisco, her first job was at Miette Patisserie when it was still a stall in the San Francisco Farmer's Market. While living in Southern California she secured a highly sought after job working for the popular clothing line RVCA. She looked forward to one day opening her own restaurant or creating her own clothing line. Lauren is survived by her parents Michele and Chris Meany of San Francisco, her father Roy Leisure of Pasadena, and her brothers John Meany, Max Leisure, and Jack Leisure, her grandparents, Jeanne Jennett, John and Martha Leisure, Marjorie Leisure, Hannah and Hal Meany, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Her funeral mass will be held at 1 pm on Monday, February 27, 2012 at St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Ignatius College Prep, designated in Lauren Leisure's name. All donations will be applied to SI's Wellness Program, which encourages healthy lifestyle strategies for all students. Lauren's brother, John Meany, is currently a senior at SI. my deepest and most sincere apologies go out to family and friends in having to endure such a tremendous loss. i am devastated and heartbroken having just found out of this news. though my encounter in life with Lauren was unfortunately far too brief, i can say that the only thing that rivaled her amazing beauty was her tenacious spirit for experiencing life. she will be forever remembered in my heart.....
