Mary Blum
Our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Friday at the home she loved. In her final days, she was surrounded by her family, music and memories of extensive world travels and adventures. Mary's joy, passion, warmth, compassion and wise counsel will be sorely missed but forever celebrated by her family and friends both here and overseas. Her heart, her arms and her home were always open to those she loved. She lit up a room with her smile. She loved to dance as well as listen to music. She taught us that anything is possible with hard work and grit. She will always be our most treasured model of feminine fortitude, tenacity and independence. She was not only loved, but adored and she will be deeply missed. Mary is survived by her daughters, step-children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her sisters and extended family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 5 at Temple Sinai's Home of Eternity Cemetery, 5000 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland.
