Michelle LaBelle Obituary

Michelle Elaine LaBelle

March 20, 1976 - December 12, 2014

Michelle Elaine LaBelle passed away at home in Redwood City, surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, December 12, 2014 after a brave, year-long fight against pancreatic cancer. She was 38 years old.

Michelle was born in San Mateo on March 20, 1976 to Clarence LaBelle and Sandra Granados (née Obregon) and was a lifelong resident of San Mateo County.

Michelle gave birth to her son Isaiah LaBelle in April 1995, and as a single mom, earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1999. She enjoyed her career at TMG Partners, working for over 12 years in commercial property management, and earned her Real Property Administration (RPA) designation in September 2013. Michelle and her husband Gordon McAllister met and fell in love in 2007, and were married on August 27, 2011.

Michelle was an active member of Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City for many years and was a proud volunteer in the PCC nursery, where she loved caring for babies and toddlers. She was also very active with many other volunteer activities in various PCC ministries, such as family and student mission trips to Mexico, as well as with Redeemer Lutheran School and Church and the Woodside High School PTA.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father Clarence and brother Larry. She is survived by her husband Gordon, son Isaiah and stepsons Dominic and Aidan, mother Sandra, sisters Carmen and Charmian, and brothers George, Victor and Devon.

The family wishes to thank Mission Hospice & Home Care, especially Dr. Gary Pasternak, and the skilled nursing staff for their compassionate care of Michelle in our home during her final days. We are also deeply grateful for the many close friends who arranged for meals, rides, housecleaning, dog-walking, shopping and prayer visits.

Michelle was a light to those who knew and loved her. Her energy and passion for life, her wit and humor, her sincerity and devotion to her family were all remarkable, and one look into her beautiful eyes was unforgettable. Her big contagious smile was always so warm and welcoming. She fought a terrible illness with grace and resolve that stands as an example for all of us and as a wonderful tribute to her character and love for her Lord, Jesus Christ. Michelle was taken from us much, much too soon and we all miss her dearly.

A Memorial Service to celebrate and honor Michelle's life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Peninsula Covenant Church, 3560 Farm Hill Boulevard, Redwood City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (https://www.pancan.org/)

Michelle, my love,

You were my best friend, the love and light of my life, the wife of my dreams and a wonderful mother and stepmother. As each day has gone by since you left us I find some way to miss you even more. Though we shared only three years of marriage, they were the best years of my life. Thank you for loving me so much, and for fighting so hard to give us one more year together.

Michelle and I joined TMG Partners the same year, 2001, and although we worked at difference locations, we got to know each other at our many company-wide gatherings throughout those years. She is sorely missed around here, and will never be forgotten.

Thank you Michelle for being such a wonderful step mother to my grandsons Dominic and Aidan. I truly enjoyed your friendship in spite of the short time we had to get to know each other. May God bless you and your family. Be at peace with Christ.

Miss you Michelle. Know that you are home with Jesus now, in a better place. You had a beautiful life, that was cut way too short. Your family and friends here on earth will always have you in their hearts, until one day we see you again!
