Rose Leonardi

Age 88, passed away joining her parents Enrico and Caterina Garbini, peacefully, surrounded by her family on July 11, 2018, at her residence in Millbrae, after a 7 month battle with cancer.
Born Dec 3, 1929 in San Francisco & a graduate of San Mateo High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and business partner of Gino.
She married Gino on Jan 10, 1953, a loving marriage of 65 years. They raised 3 sons and 3 granddaughters. She will forever be cherished by Gino, their sons, and spouses - Paul/Barbara, Mike/Bobbie and Steve/Carol, her grandchildren - Paula, Nina/Marc, Trish, Michael II/Nyssa, Jennifer, Candice/Tony, great grandchildren Melani, Connor, Robert, Hannah, Max, Justin, Sean, her sister Louise Ghiorzi, Godson Gary, niece Luana & many nephews, cousins in America, Italy, Argentina & England.
Gino wishes to express a very special sincere "Thank You" to his grandson Michael (RN) who stood by his Nonna's side for her medical and comfort needs, round the clock, her last few days, making sure she did not suffer.
Special thanks to Mission Hospice, providing comfort and care. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Mission Hospice Home Care @1670 S Amphlett Blvd #300, San Mateo, CA 94402. 650-554-1000.
She was a member of the Columbia Lodge, "OSDIA", for 71 years & served as the financial secretary for over 50 years.
Family and friends whose life Rose touched are invited to the Chapel of the Highlands - 194 Millwood Dr., Millbrae - Rosary 7pm Wednesday July 18, the Funeral is Thursday July 19, 10am, at St Dunstan in Millbrae. Burial will be at the Italian Cemetery in Colma.
