Sandra Murray Obituary

Sandra K. Murray

Sheboygan - Sandra "Sandy" K. Murray, 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice after a courageous two and a half year battle with Merkel cell cancer.

Sandy was born on June 3, 1943 in Sheboygan to the late Elmer and Dorothy Fischer Lunde. She attended local grade schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1961.

After graduating, Sandy worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company until the birth of her children. When her children started school, Sandy worked at Park 'N Shop as department manager for health and beauty aids. She was at Park 'N Shop for 10 years, transitioning to Pick 'N Save where she stayed for 5 years until her retirement in 2009.

She enjoyed cheering on the Packers, Brewers and Bucks, but not as much as she enjoyed cheering on her grandchildren at their various sporting events. Sandy's grandchildren were her life.

Survivors include her sons, Daniel (Teri), Sheboygan, and Dean (Lisa), Sheboygan Falls; her grandchildren, Cole, Cali and Thomas Murray (at home); her step grandchildren, Lindsay Thomack, Sheboygan, Cassie (Jay) Pribek, Sheboygan, and Emily (special friend Sam) Thomack, Milwaukee; her "girls" Shirley, MaryAnn and Peggy, along with her coffee clutch friends, and her friend John, your hugs will be missed.

Sandy touched the lives of all whom she met and will be missed by many.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Mark Bettag and his staff, especially Ellen and Kelly. Thank you to the St. Nicholas Home Health & Hospice staff, and thank you to the nursing staff at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and a special thank you to Jamie. You are all truly amazing people.

A family memorial service will be held for Sandy.

The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Sandy's arrangements.
