Bobby Wall Obituary
SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Blanchard, LA. The family will be receiving friends at Hill Crest Funeral Home on Friday, June 22, 2007 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Officiating will be Dr. James Hill, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Blanchard, assisted by Pastor Alton M. Ashby, Jr., Burleson Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens North, Blanchard, LA.
Mr. Wall was a native of Ferriday, LA. and lived in Blanchard, LA for 25 years. Pop was owner and operator of B & M Superette and Blanchard Grocery in the Blanchard area for 20 plus years. After retiring from the grocery store business, he went to work for Bill & Ralph's in Springhill, LA and worked there until his death.
Pop Wall will forever be remembered for his days coaching Dixie League baseball and his unbelievable and mostly untrue fishing stories. He was a jokester and a prankster, but most of all he was the best father, father-in-law, grandfather, and friend that a person could ever want.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Mary Wall, two brothers, Charles Ray Wall, Earl Wess Wall and one sister Barbara Ann Beach.
Mr. Wall is survived by his wife of 48 years, Myrna Kay Wall, and his children, Cristi Rene' Ashby and husband Alton, Jeff D. Wall and wife Monika, Robert E. Wall, and Shannon D. Wall and wife Mandy. One sister, Lois Hamilton and two brothers, Nelson G. Wall, Jr. and Clifford Wall. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jason, Lindsay, Tyler and Emily Ashby, Tina Knight, Jeffery and Carson Wall and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Mays, Jerry Moore, Rusty Moore, David McCartney, Jeffery Wall and Tyler Ashby.
The family would like to thank Bill & Ralph's for their support and generosity during such a difficult time and LifeCare North for the loving care they provided to Pop.

Bobby and I worked together for over ten years and I loved hearing his fishing stories. He was a good man and we will truly miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I was a fellow worker with Bobby Wall. Some of those fishing trips he taked about, I was there. We had some good times. He was a friend of mine. I will miss him.

Mrs. Wall, Shannon, Robby, Cristi, and Jeff,
I know that during this time words can't supply enough to fill the void that is there. I do know that our Lord can bless you with the comfort and grace needed to see you through this time and this is what I pray for each of you. Mr. Wall was a great man to know and I spent a lot of nights at the games sitting with him and enjoying that spirit he had! He will be missed by all that knew him.
