I am completely honored to be a pallbearer for Uncle Mike. I am so sad for you all and I am sorry I can not be there for you right now.

Oh, Wow, this is unreal. Thalia, Greg, there is nothing anyone can say to take away the hurt you are going through right now. I am not even going to try. Just wanted to let you all know that I am thinking of you and am so sorry all this has happened. Please, just try to hang on to the memories. I know there were a lot of great ones. Find comfort in that if possible. Be there for each other. May God bless you both and help you to get through these tough times. Your Mom and Dad are very special people and will be greatly missed.

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Michael (Big Mike) Theodos, Sr our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Big Mike. And to Big Mike it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during WW-II while serving in the U.S. Navy. Big Mike we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,452 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Big Mike’s family and loved ones.
