Dearest Twyla,
I can not imagine what you are going through. I only know that at our lowest moments it is God's presence that sustains us. We can't direct the wind that blows our way, but we can direct the sail. God has promised us that he will be with us and get us through it. Just hang on and take it one day at a time . . . . and be good to yourself.
We will all miss Robert, his humor and mischief. The world lost a good man, but heaven gained a great angel!
God Bless,
The Lea Family

aunt twyla& denise, uncle robert will be miss by many. he was a important part of our lives when the 4 of us girls were growing up and hanging out on tanglewood drive. he made you feel so loved and important.he never got mad when we kids played "Hotel" or "murder in the dark" or even "Barnabas Collins". I know we could be rowdy at times but he would calmy let us know it was time to cool it. I always thought that is how all adults should treat children, as he did so kindly. i will love him and never forget my memories of tanglewood drive. sherri

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Robert E. Bartlett, Jr. our Brother-in-Arms and fellow Legionnaire. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Robert. And to Robert it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Korean War while serving in the U.S Navy and for his many years of dedicated service to the American Legion. Robert you were a dedicated supporter of the American Legion and a wonderful comrade. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,409 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Robert’s family and loved ones.
