Joy and family I am so sorry, I just found out . Dr. Burda was so kind to our family after daddy passed in 1998, and working with him I learned so much. Going out on Thursday nights to all you can eat seafood was always a good time. I had never seen anyone eat so much crawfish. Jeff, Dr. Burda and daddy are all rejoicing together in Heaven having a grand time just as they did at the office. Love and miss you.

It is not a "loss". It is merely an "I'll see you again soon." My prayers are with you.

My deepest sympathy to the Burda family. Dr. Burda was a kind, understanding doctor who helped me
with fibro in the early days before it was understood by the medical profession.

He Loved Boiled Crawfish; he loved Cigars! Every time we spoke on the phone he would say, "I Love you" before Good-Bye; that's what I will remember most about Dr Burda. He was an Artist, and I feel we related on that level. As a Doctor, he only wrote one prescription for me; its Hard for me to see him go. I will miss him dearly. Good-Bye CD.
Sincere Condolences to my friends; my extended family, The Burda's.
Love,
David W. LeBlanc

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Dr. Christopher Dominic Burda our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Doctor Burda. And to Doctor Burda it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country while serving in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. Doctor Burda, we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,409 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Doctor Burda’s family and loved ones.
