Gladys Johnson Staten Island native Gladys Johnson of Plainfield, NJ, passed away on May 21. Gladys was born on Staten Island, NY, and was a member of the celebrated William A. Morris family. She had talents for cooking, drawing, and playing all sports. She loved to read and to listen to gospel music. Gladys was a soft spoken gentle person who would help anyone in need. Gladys is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Meaders and Mary Sayers, as well as by seven nieces, Karin Jones, Janeen Meaders, Kim Meeks, Toby Russell, Jerelyn Allman, Tina Sayers and one nephew, Douglas Jones. A private graveside ceremony celebrated her life at Silver Mount Cemetery.
