Dear Robert and Bazelon family, Mickey was a board member of my late mother's organization, Home and School Institute, and she was such a supporter of my mom and her mission, and we were all so grateful for her enthusiasm for the organization. Plus she was a lot of fun at the board meetings! Rebecca Rich Durham NC

Mickey was extremely kind and generous to the New College Library Association (NCLA), when I was dean of the New College Library. She launched the NCLA Book Fair and Reading Festival which raised funds for the New College library and also provided special reading programs and free books for children of the community. Whenever my husband and I had occasion to be in Washington, she always went out of her way to entertain us and make us feel welcome. We will miss her smile, her friendship and her hugs. Our deepest sympathies to Bob and her family.

Dear Bob, Rick, Eileen and family - I was so sorry to hear about Mickey, even hard to believe as she seemed so vital. I had no idea - though I'm not surprised - about the extent of her generosity and good works well before we knew her as a member of the Bazelon Center Board family. She will certainly be missed. Warm regards, Nikki Heidepriem

Dear Bob, Elieen, Emily and the entire Knox-Bazelon Family,
I am very sorry to hear of Mickey's passing. She was warm, spirited and generous; and, lived a blessedly long and public-minded life. She will be missed by you, of course, but also by people like me whose lives she touched!

Bob, Nancy and I are in Denver for a graduation. We were deeply saddened at the news of your loss of Mickey, our most favorite patient. She was a wonderful person and always had a little devilish spark in her eye which went along with her great sense of humor. She will be in our prayers. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
