Steven Brummett Obituary
SPRINGFIELD - Steven L. Brummett, 40, of Springfield died Saturday, July 25, 2009, in rural Christian County.
He was born January 4, 1969, in Springfield, the son of Paul and Marilyn Bull Brummett; they both preceded him in death.
Steven was very active in the Loami Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by one brother, Jeff (wife, Teresa) Brummett of Salisbury; one nephew, Brock; one niece, Kellie; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cremation rites were accorded. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Bramley Funeral Home in Divernon. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Brush Creek Cemetery, with Rev. Bob Green officiating.
Memorials may be made to Bramley Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your brother as many others have stated.. was a caring and loving person. I was always greeted with a smile and a hand-shake or hug, every time, I would see him out. This has been so shocking for everyone who knew steve. We will miss him so much. He was supposed to come over and hang out with scott on sunday and have dinner. Sorry to hear about our Steve , he was like a son to us , we loved him very . He was a good man he would give you his shirt off of his back . We tried to help him as much as we could . We helped him get his job at the cab Company I wish we could have done more for him . Your mom and dad were like brother and sister to us . We loved them both .Now our Steve is with his mom and dad in heaven with no problems .It was not right the way he left us He was too young . Steve was one of my best friends since we met at Auburn high school.I will never forget his kindness, always offering to help with nothing asked in return way of life. We spent many, many hours together on the road with my bands, as he was my security guy.I still can not believe I will never be able to see or speak with him again,it breaks my heart.
