James Riddle Obituary
He was born Jan. 12, 1940 in St. Marys, a son of the late Joseph and Bertha Schwabenbauer Riddle.
Jim was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1957. He was the longtime owner and operator of the local Radio Shack, having retired several years ago. He was Catholic by faith and was a longtime member of the K of C. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He greatly enjoyed gardening, taking care of his property and working around the house.
He is survived by three brothers, Marvin (Helen) Riddle of St. Marys, Francis (Carol) Riddle of Portsmouth, N.H. and Gerald (Sue) Riddle of St. Marys; three sisters, Ellen Hoffmann of Canandaigua, N.Y., Lois McCoy of St. Marys and Dorothy Hoffman of Bethlehem; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sr. M. Valentina Riddle, O.S.B., and Mary Margaret Riddle in infancy.
A Funeral Service for James H. Riddle will be held Saturday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. at Lynch-Green Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Aug. 22 from noon until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elk County Catholic School System, 600 Maurus St., St. Marys, Pa. 15857 or to a charity of choice.

Jim was a household name along with his mom and sister, Lois. The Riddle family were very nice and great to my mother Jeane Clifford. My mom adored Mrs Riddle and Jim. We would visit often. My mother believed there were no one nicer or great as this family. They had a special bond. A bond now that I'm sure is still strong.
My heart sank today as I heard about the passing of Jim. It's almost like it is a closing of my childhood memories. The happy ones as we would visit and life was always great, and happy. It seemed like it was always sunny. I will always remember these wonderful people who made our lives better just getting to know them and to be able to call them friends. Rest in peace Jim
