CORONADO, CA — Cmdr. Edward E. "Ted" Dahill III, 75, US Navy (retired) passed away on April 20, 2007, at his home in Coronado, Ca., after a long illness.

He was the son of Edward E. Dahill Jr., and Alice J. (Sheehan) Dahill of So. Dartmouth.

He was born in Hyannis and relocated to So. Dartmouth as a toddler. After graduating from Dartmouth High School and Northeastern University, he joined the Navy attending OCS in Newport, RI., where he received his officer commission. Ted spent most of his career as a Navy helicopter pilot.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred "Beth" Dahill (O'Toole); son, Tommy of Coronado, Ca.; daughters, Ellen Govan of Seattle, Wa., Margaret Knoll of Whidby Island, Wa., Bridget Dahill of Amherst, Ma.; (6) grandchildren; and his sister, Judith (Dahill) Lariviere of Fairhaven.

A memorial Mass is to be said at St. Mary's Church in Padanaram, Saturday, May 26, at 9:00 a.m., followed by interment at South Dartmouth Cemetery.
