Wayne Oliver Obituary

Wayne F. Oliver, 67, of Easton, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, after a courageous battle with mesothelioma. Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, June Stearns; and his dearly loved son, Clifford Cliff Oliver. Born October 3, 1948, in Brockton, he was the son of the late Warren S. Oliver and Dorothy (Maguire) Oliver. Raised in Brockton, he graduated from Brockton High School, class of 1966. He attended Westfield State College and the University of Maryland. Wayne was well respected in the Real Estate industry, having been the owner of Re/Max Advanced Real Estate in West Bridgewater for 17 years. He will long be remembered for his honesty, generosity, caring and sense of humor. If you needed help whether financial or emotional, Wayne was the first to step up to the plate. Prior to his real estate career, he was an engineer for Bechtel Corporation and a draftsman for Fore River Shipyards. Wayne enjoyed every facet of life including golf, travel, gourmet dining, walking, biking, skydiving, balloon flights, dancing and various activities that required physical strength. He and his wife and son enjoyed spending time at their condominium in Newport. In addition to his wife and son, Wayne is survived by his siblings, Deborah Wilbur of West Bridgewater, Denise Conley of Bridgewater, Brian Oliver of Fla., and Karen Oliver of Salisbury; his nieces, Shanna Russ and Siobhan Conley; his nephew, Kevin Conley; his stepchildren, Melissa Callanan, Kurt Stearns and Richard Stearns; he is also survived by great-nephews and grandchildren. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., West Bridgewater, Monday, August 1, from 3-6 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Private cremation will follow. Please omit flowers; donations would be greatly appreciated to Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, 1317 King St., Alexandria, VA 22314. Can't count the times over a year that his name, antics and kindness is brought up in our circle of friends. He left a lesson behind to us all to grab what this life has to offer and cherish every moment and paint it with goodness. His happy shining light in this world is missed.

It is never easy to say "good bye" when the our Loved Ones go back home. Wayne's laughter and fun loving spirit will be so missed by all. He could always put a smile on your face with his belly laughing antics, dancing rituals and jokes. His bright lively honorable soul will be missed and no one could ever fill that sweet gap. My prayers and healing to all that love Wayne.
