I am sad to read this...Marie was my son Danny's piano teacher from 2nd grade until he graduated from high school. He has a love for the piano that she cultivated over the years and he has never lost. Her enthusiasm for music was contagious, Danny would do anything she wanted and always wanted to excel at the piece she wanted him to learn. He is now a Captain in the Marine Corp. and stationed in Jordan. He bought a full sized electric piano and had it sent with him so he can still play. She was a more than his teacher she was a friend to him and our family. My Condolences to your family.

Mrs. Tozzi-Nelson was my accordion/piano teacher when I lived in Holbrook,
Massachusetts. Brings back so many fond memories of visiting her family when they lived in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts in the 1970’s. Rest in eternal peace, Mrs. Nelson

Marie was such a talented, caring, giving and generous person. A gifted musician who wanted to share the beauty of music with the world around her. She was such an inspiration as she sought to bring education and music to underserved populations. I will miss not only my weekly lesson, but the stimulating, thought-provoking discussions that we had as well. A role model for all of us to emulate and aspire to be like...one that will sorely be missed throughout these turbulent times.

My sincere condolences to the entire family. Marie will always be remembered as a bright, cheery and giving individual, always concerned for others. Her energy was contagious as was her zest for life. I know she is surrounded by angels and is resting peacefully having left her mark on many❤
