Francis Bellotti Obituary

Francis X. Bellotti Jr. , a lifelong resident of Quincy, died in the South Shore Hospital after an extended illness. He was 64. The oldest of the 12 children of former Attorney General Francis X. Bellotti and his wife, Margarita, Frank Jr. was born in Boston. He attended Quincy schools and graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Prior to working at the Secretary of States Archives office, he worked for a number of years as a real estate agent. Frank read extensively about ancient history, civilizations and religions. Frank developed a strong interest in the Bahai faith and was a frequent volunteer at the Boston Bahai Community Center in Bostons South End. A soft spoken, gentle man, he lived life one day at a time. He accepted his physical challenges with grace and without complaint, said his father. The measure of his life was his kindness and concern for his fellow man. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Francis X. Bellotti III of Franklin: seven sisters, Kathleen Bellotti of Naples, Fla., Elizabeth Tufo of Quincy, Nina Flaherty of Weymouth, Terry Bellotti-Palmieri of Quincy, Rita Barry of Cohasset. Patricia Bellotti ORourke of Dedham and Sheila Buchanan of Cohasset; four brothers, Peter of Winchester and Joseph, Thomas and Michael, all of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews. A wake will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Agatha Church, 432 Adams Street, Milton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Agatha Church. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Friends of the Unborn, PO Box 692246, Quincy, MA 02269. www.alfreddthomas.com Alfred D. Frankie,

I can imagine you in heaven leading classes on relaxation and breath.
(God has a tough job.)

As far as what has transpired with my earthly relations, you would still tell this 59-year-old the same thing you told the 18 year old...

Wisdom comes in many form and packages. So on the anniversary of your death, know that many still think about you with love and appreciation.

Frankie,
You´ve been in my dreams. Perhaps it is because my mother and I have been reminiscing about good times. Your love of good food and your impeccable manners came up. (That´s a quote from her.)

You were the first person to teach a little kid about "breath", "mindfulness" and "living in the now".

Your patience was endless for the many questions of and having a 7 year old tagging along. In fact your entire family was such a blessing in my life and a place of refuge. Thank you Bellotti family. Hoping to meet again someday, just later rather than sooner.

Frankie was the brother I always wanted but never had.
He took me to my 9th grade father-daughter banquet at Woodward School because my father was dying of cancer at the time. He had such a kind soul who lived a philosophy of kindness that was an example to us all.

Frankie, thank you for saving me many times. Keep up your good work in the next life.

My deepest condolences to the Bellotti family.

Frank, as we know this world has many tribulations and a few triumphs. Still we are promised by our Lord that on our last earthly day our souls take flight into God's vast Blue Heavens where we are Brothers once again and finally at Peace. So we are not parting, I cannot say good bye, but kindly wait all of our last earthly day, then we shall be united with family, friends and God's Heavenly Angels.

God Bless the Bellotti Family for bravely bringing forth to this world the most precious of all, LIFE!
