Eugene Piazza

1930 - 2019

Eugene Piazza, 88, of Quincy passed away on February 11, 2019. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey and wife Jean of Wellesley; his daughter, Janet and husband Paul Hennessey of Londonderry, N.H.; his son-in-law, Perry Jones of Fall River; and his brother, Dan and wife Joyce of Barrington, Ill. He was predeceased by his daughter, Katherine. He is also survived by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Gene was born April 29, 1930, to Sylvia (Schildt) and Eugene Piazza Sr. in Aurora, Ill. He attended Harvard University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and then received his law degree from Harvard Law School. He later received an MBA. He worked at a variety of occupations throughout his career including practicing law, consulting and teaching. He spent many years teaching at Quincy College. He enjoyed time with family and friends and experiencing everything life had to offer from skiing, sailing, golfing, acting and ballroom dancing. He had a pilot's license, hosted a show at QATV and was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019, at Hamel-Lydon Chapel, at 650 Hancock St., Wollaston. Visiting hour is at 10 followed by a celebration of life service at 11. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
