Shirley Eileen Landon

1936 - 2020

Mrs. Shirley Eileen Cheek Landon, 84 of Duncan, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 8, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She was the widow of John Landon and first married to Gerald Wayne Harris.
Mrs. Landon was born on June 29, 1936 in Marion, NC. She was a retired Administrative Associate with Staubli Corporation. She was a member of Joy Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir, was active with the Ladies Bible Study Group, and served as a volunteer for many years. She loved her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include: a daughter, Wayne Ann Daniel of Denholm-Quebec Canada; sons, John Harris (Shirley) of Spartanburg, Guy Harris (Christy) of Roebuck, Sammy Harris (Julie) of Taylors; daughter, Jackie Taylor (Avery) of Lyman, sons; Tom Landon (Jackie) of Tupelo, Mississippi, Donnie Landon (Marilyn) of Lyman, three sisters; Joanne Burnette of Marion, NC, Sandra Saaed (Saaed) of Morganton, NC, Terri Lane of Morganton, NC; a brother, Mickey Cheek of Marion, NC; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Landon of Boiling Springs. She was predeceased by a son; Jim Landon, and three sisters; Frances Franklin, Betty Ledbetter and Norma Willis.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at Joy Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Lane Bembenek.
