Adeline Stehle Obituary
CLINTON, SC-- Adeline (Addie) Stehle, age 90, widow of Theo John Stehle, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in the National Health Care Center in Clinton. She was born in Edgefield County, and was a daughter of the late F. F. and Maria Rainsford. Mrs. Stehle was a retired school teacher for 37 years; a member of Jonesville United Methodist Church; former choir member and Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are her daughter, Leigh S. and son-in-law, Bob Smith of Clinton; one sister, Beth Reel of Edgefield; two grandchildren, Farrar Stewart of Blythewood, and Stehle Smith of Goose Creek; and one great-grandchild, Caroline Stewart.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 4:00 PM in the Jonesville United Methodist Church in Jonesville with burial in Gilead Cemetery in Jonesville.
The family will receive friends at the church immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jonesville United Methodist Church, 222 Pacolet St., Jonesville, SC 29353.

Mrs. Stehle was my teacher in Jonesville Grammar school in the 1970s. She was a wonderful teacher as well as a beautiful person. The last time I saw her, she was walking down the street near her home in Jonesville. Still as elegant as ever! May you find comfort in knowing that she was love by so many people.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Stehle at school, church and playing in her neighborhood as a child. She was a very sweet person and was loved by all that knew her.

Mrs. Stehle was a kind and friendly teacher and encouraged those who knew her. I remember her well from childhood and pray you have pleasant and fond memories of her life .
