I had the great pleasure of working with Barry at Manufactures Hanover Trust. Barry always was very witty and the life of the party. I am sorry to hear this news.

Hi. I am a great friend of Barry's cousin Lisa Cates. I also spent some of the best times of my life in NYC with Barry. He was a very special guy and a great dance partner. Although his passing is very sad, I bet he would want all of us to enjoy and embrace life.

Too bad we didn't have all the gadgets "back in the day" to record the moment...because there were quite a few. Growing up next door to and with the Hayes family provided never a dull moment. Barry was true to his red hair profile - funny and boy, did he get ticked when things didn't go his way.
John and Bob, my sympathies go to you and your families, to Stephen, and to all who knew and loved Barry through the years and miss him now.

I grew up with Barry in Spartanburg and we also knew each other in New York in the early working years. It was great to run into him in New York about 5 years ago - he was always so personable and kind. Sincere condolences to his brothers John and Bob and their families, his many cousins, and to Stephen.

Stephen and the Hayes family please accept my sympathies. Always asking "how are you" with a gentle voice, a caring smile, and a talented soul is how he will be remembered.

Mr. Fick, please accept my sympathy for your loss. Barry and I were raised in same town, were the same age, both had red hair and the same last name. We frequently called each other the other's twin. He was great person and very sorry to hear of his death. Mark Hayes
