LEMOINE, Harvey James
(Age 76)

Passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2011. He was born September 27, 1934 to Armas and Florence Lemoine in Simmesport, LA where he grew up and attended school. Harvey was enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in the U.S. and Morocco. While stationed at Fairchild AFB he met and married Beverly Ann Herman on October 14, 1955. They were married 43 and a half years at the time of her death in 1999. They had a son, Darren who was born in 1962. He worked for and retired from R.A. Hanson Co. where he was supervisor. Harvey was exceptionally skilled in woodworking, and built many beautiful things. He was always helpful to so many people. He was also a member of the VFW and Eagles. He is survived by his son, Darren Lemoine; sister, Verdie Chester; brother, Herman (Clara) Lemoine; brothers-in law, Duane, Allen and Bob; sisters-in-law, Eleanor, Dee, Joan and Diane; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and friend Bonnie Nottage. Viewing will be held May 3rd and 4th from 8AM to 5PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00AM, Thursday, May 5th at the Funeral Home. Donations will be accepted at the funeral to help with the cost of repairs to his home.
