Ronald HANGEN Obituary

HANGEN, Ronald Jeffrey "RJ" 65, formerly of Centerville, Ohio died Sunday, December 30, 2018 in Tampa, FL with family by his side after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Preceded in death by father John (Beverly) and mother Eleanor Hangen, he is survived by his devoted wife Carol, son Nathan Hangen (Heather), daughters Leslie Hangen and Lyndsay Seaton, 12 grandchildren, sister Diane Vragel (Kurt), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron loved golf, had an encyclopedic knowledge of baseball and a passion for TV Westerns and all sports (even curling!). A thirty year employee of State Farm Insurance, RJ retired to spend more time on one of his passions- playing golf. Ron graduated from Ohio University and was one of the first graduates of the University of Dayton Law School upon that institution's reopening. He was a long-time member of NCR Country Club where he spent countless joyful hours being his irrepressible self with his many friends. But his happiest times were spent with his children and grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at a later time. Memorial donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, online at https://www.michaeljfox.org or by mail at Donation Processing, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
