Adele BERNETT

BERNETT, Adele Sandra 76, passed away on October 19, 2021. Adele spent her career at USF and Moffitt Cancer Center in the field of Accounting, having also served on the Council on Governmental Relations and the National Council of Research Administrators. Adele was predeceased by her beloved parents, Mortimer Irving Bernett and Regina Hazen Bernett. She is survived by numerous cousins, especially Annette L. Nina and Michael (Joanne) Hazen. Adele was always surrounded by her dear friends, Pat Augustyniak, Amber Fetterolf, Beverly Griffith, Susan Johnson, Adriana Matallana, Sandy McRae, Jane O'Connor, Gail Pipes, Priscilla Pope, and her special angel on earth Vanessa Galletta who will now be the caregiver of Adele's beloved bird Neeki. Special thanks goes to Simon Canasi, Marina Cordoves, Joshua Keleske, Gary Kleinman, LifePath Hospice, and Esther and Theresa from Aegean Home Health Care for their loving dedication to Adele's final days. Adele was simply fun, genuine, loving, and exciting. She was passionate about dancing, fitness (having participated in numerous marathons), family and friends, her garden, and travel. Her last trip was to Croatia and Venice, Italy. She will always be remembered for her charisma and endearing smile which could light up any room. Adele lived a charitable life worth living and her legacy will continue with the numerous charities across the Tampa Bay area that will be the beneficiaries of her estate.
