Tammy Stansell Obituary

STANSELL, Tammy Sue 52, of Palm Harbor, born Oct. 27, 1957, and died March 17, 2010. Proverbs 31:29 "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Gorgeous-adj. splendid or sumptuous in appearance, coloring. An array or colors swarmed Tammy's life. The deeps were many long sleepless nights, fights, divorces, sicknesses, all situations of the Lord in helping her learn and gather knowledge and strength. The pales and beiges that were times of complete regimen and routine, her work, her day to day events, that she had to do. Let us not forget the bright and primary colors though, that brought light to even the darkest crevices of the collection of memories we call life, her children, her family, her gorgeous spirit that far surpassed any and every situation trying to come against this woman of strength. A few lines of gratitude here to acknowledge her victorious prizes in life, her family. In gathering all these different colors and patterns to understand they makeup the visual design of her wings, fly away in Glory Momma. We forever love you, see you real soon. Survived by 1 son, Drew Locascio; 2 stepsons, Daniel and David Boyko; 3 daughters, Opal (Chris) Renaud, Jade and Chyna Locascio; 2 stepdaughters, Rachael and Sarah Boyko; parents Bobby and Suzanne Stansell; 2 brothers, Larry and Preston Stansell; 4 grandchildren, Aysia, Addyson, Channing, Jaxon. Memorial service 12 noon on Monday, March 22 at Calvary Chapel Worship Center 6825 Trouble Creek Rd., New Port Richey. Vinson Funeral Home 727-937-6111

Tammy, I always thought I would see you again, so I guess I'll have to wait. I am blessed to have known you and your family. This news catches me by surprise. I accidentally heard the news all the way down here off of the west coast of Africa. We lost touch over the years and there’s been lots of water under the keel. God Bless all the ones you've left behind. I am glad you are safe in the arms of the Lord, but you'll be missed.

Music, when soft voices die

Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory—
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.

Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the beloved's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.

So deeply saddened to hear of this great, great loss. Though I only met Tammy once with her lovely daughter most recently at M.D. Anderson, her strength and beautiful spirit just radiated about her. Those blessings I know will live on in the heart and soul of her beloved family and in all those whom she deeply touched.

This song makes me think of you and your family :)

"Would you dare would you dare to believe
That you still have a reason to sing
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It can’t compare to the joy that’s coming
So hold on you gotta wait for the light
Press on and just fight the good fight
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It’s just the dark before the morning "

Tammy Stansell, WARRIOR, Daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, friend.... a woman who has touched the hearts of all who had the honor of meeting her, of knowing of her. It was a great honor to join with others at the Fairway has a heart and sign copies of Healing Heartaches on her special day, to hear the voice of Chyna as she sang to Tammy with a voice of purity and love that pierced my soul. Dance on Tammy in the lights of heaven, your work here is done, you have inspired many, you have taught by example the amazing grace of being a warrior with elegance, with class and with great skill. Now watch over your children and encourage all of us to live life to its fullest, to laugh and dance in the storms while looking for you in the rainbows and celebrating you with each breath and remembering your fights, your struggles and your tremendous ability to know that there is no death, only a change of worlds. God bless the family, the friends and all of us who have been changed forever by you, your family and the many friends who love you. Author of Healing Heartaches, Stories of Loss and Life ~ Remembering you today and all days... Dance on Tammy in the lights dear one ~ you are but a heart beat away ~

Tammy was always such a beautiful 'light' in the darkness. She gave life all she had! - Even her fight with IBC. Granddaddy would say: "She's HLS' granddaughter"
She is with him now - making him smile as he proudly shows off his granddaughters! Tammy & Jeannie -Tammy is putting smiles on his face and Jeannie is singing beautiful songs for him! Who knows - Nanmama is surely smiling, too!!
Wish I could be there to celebrate this beautiful life that blessed our lives. God Bless & Keep you - her kids- the love of her life! Aunt Cathy

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Stansell family. Tammy was an amazing woman, she was there consoling me as I went thru my sister's passing as cancer turned our lives upside down as well. They are both in a better place and we can thank God for answering our prayers and taking away their pain. May you hurt no more and have God's everlasting love to embrace for eternity!

There are many special moments that you will remember. The smiles, tears, praise, warmth and joy all associated with motherhood. I didn't know Tammy but I know her oldest. There is only one person who will do whatever it takes to care for her children. One who remembers the good and forgets the daily battles and challenges. These traits are true of any mother who loves her children. Moms always try to do the right thing, they do not always succeed but mothers cannot ever be faulted for doing their best, loving their children, and being a role model for those left behind. As I have witnessed the growth of Tammy's oldest daughter I have seen many changes in the way she gives herself to her family and friends. This is all a mother wishes for. That someday her children take the best she has tried to give and continue on with their lives. I pray that God follows Tammy's children and watches over them in their time of need. I pray that they become stronger visions of their mom. God rest her soul.
