Frederick Rodney Stansell

Fred Stansell, age 74, husband of Wanda Stansell departed this life for his heavenly home on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Frederick Edward and Fannie Lorene Moore Stansell.

Fred was a Marine Corp Veteran. He loved attending his church, the Pony Lot Holiness Church in Jackson County. Fred enjoyed fishing and "had probably 500 fishing rods" he also enjoyed flea markets and yard sales.

Other than his wife he is survived by his children, Janice Ruble, Misty Rice and her husband Mike, Scott Lamb, and Tomekia Floyd all of Berea, KY, Rick Stansell and his wife Stephanie of Ohio, Shelly Stansell of Georgia, and Kimbely Stansell of Ohio. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Brother Mike Rader and your family, thank you for loving him so tenderly. Your prayers, kindness, and fellowship wrapped him in comfort and faith, and that love will always mean more to us than words can express.

Visitation will be 6-9 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Davis and Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the funeral home you may view the service live at www.davisandpowellfuneralhome.com , burial will follow with full military honors in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dalton Wynn, Johnathon Duncan, Isiah Duncan, Austin Floyd, Jordan Floyd, Danny Rice, Chris Benge, and Keaton McClure.
