Janet Gail Brewer, age 65, departed this life on Friday, February 6, 2026, and went home to be with the Lord. She was born on February 29, 1960, to her late parents, Jerry and Hazel Brewer.

Janet was a faithful member of Highway of Holiness Church in Crab Orchard, Kentucky. She loved attending church services, cookouts, and gatherings with her church family. Janet was known for her strong opinions and bossy nature, but those who knew her best understood it came from a place of love. She would do anything she could for anyone in need. She enjoyed thrifting, collecting cookbooks, watching QVC, and cooking home-cooked meals, especially her beloved soup beans and cornbread. Janet held a very special place in her heart for her great-nieces and great-nephews.

Janet is survived by three sisters: Angela Brewer Leonard (Dexter Godwin) of White Oak, North Carolina; Cindy Brewer-Saunders (Mike) of Bloomington, Indiana; and Tracy Kimble (Terry) of Denham Springs, Louisiana.; two brothers: Mike Brewer (Margie) of Bloomington, Indiana, and Randy Brewer (Joy) of Bloomington, IN 2 special nephews Alec (Mackenzie) Leonard, Austin (Morgan) Leonard, 1 Great Niece Alivia and 1 Nephew Bubba and Lots more nieces and nephews and a dear friend and cousin Debbie Saylor

She was preceded in death by one brother, Darryl Brewer of Berea, Kentucky.

A celebration of life will be held at Davis and Powell Funeral Home in Berea, Kentucky, on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Berea Cemetery.

Janet will be remembered for her devotion to her faith, her generous heart, and the love she shared with family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Robert Brown, Brandon Brooks, Shawn Powell, James Faulks, Shane Richardson, and Adam Hale.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alec Leonard and Austin Leonard.
