Kevin Patrick Scatton, 26, born and raised in Hazleton, passed away this weekend due to medical complications from a prolonged illness.
Kevin graduated from Hazleton Area High School in 2013 with distinguished honors. Kevin excelled academically and received a full scholarship to Kutztown University. In his free time, Kevin would read novels and write his own short stories and scripts. He enjoyed attending live music venues with family and friends. Kevin also attended Faith Assembly of God Church where he developed his relationship with the Lord. Kevin was a gentle spirit and had a good sense of humor. He had this special ability to walk into a room and make everyone laugh. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Kevin was a beloved son, brother and uncle who found the most happiness when spent with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Guy and Theresa Scatton; three sisters, Christina, Kimberly and Kathleen; two brothers, David and Steven; paternal grandmother, Pauline Scatton; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Kevin's family will receive guests starting at 1 p.m. followed by his celebration of life service Saturday at Faith Assembly of God Church, 34 Fox Manor Road, Hazle Twp.

You were truly one of a kind. One of the most hilarious people I have ever met; but always so kind and pleasant to talk to. I guess they needed some comic relief up in heaven after the year we've had. God really does take the good ones too soon. You will be missed.
