Newstrand Donald G. Age 85. WWII POW. Went to be with his Lord Feb. 5, 2005. Preceded in death by first wife Phyllis, 10 brothers and sisters. Beloved husband of Agnes; father of John (Marie) and Mark; grandfather of Jennifer, Susan, Jill and Sara; 6 great-grandchildren; also many other loving relatives and close friends. Donald was a B-26 pilot during WWII and a former employee of US Postal Service. Lifelong member of First Evangelical Free Church. Funeral Service 11 AM Friday at FIRST EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 2696 Hazelwood St., Maplewood with visitation 9:30 AM until the time of service. Private interment Fort Snelling. Memorials preferred to Camp Shamineau. Anderson Funeral Home 651-776-2761

Agnes and Family:

Though we are here in Arizona, we heard that Don had passed away. We are so sorry but know he is in a much better place. Bill and I send our condolences and know that your strong faith will abide in your loss. Do take care of yourself and we will be home the end of March and will look in on you then.
