Frances Rydmark Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 24, 2013.
Rydmark, Frances A. April 25, 1938 – May 25, 2012 What matters most is the dash between those years. For that dash represents all the time Fran spent here with us on earth. Now only those who loved her know what that little dash is truly worth. Cars, houses, cash, don't really matter. What matters most is how we live, love, & how we spend our dash. Fran was born in Brainerd, MN where she grew up, learned about life, & made many great friends. Later she moved to Minneapolis where she worked, met & married her wonderful husband of 47 years James Rydmark & started a family. Fran was passionate about cooking & her love of animals. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, getting together for card games, & their lake home in Park Rapids. We greatly miss the welcoming smell of her delicious home cooked meals & the sweet aroma filling the air from her cookies & pastries. She will forever be in our hearts. Preceded in death by her husband, James on 1/6/09. Fran is survived by her half-brother, Kenneth Marsh & her only child, Dawn Hammarberg. Please make memorials to the Humane Society. Fran's greatest desire was to see every animal loved & cared for.

Whenever I read this phrase, ... I feel a sense of peace in the grief I feel with loss. Dawn is a very dear friend of mine and I know she misses her mom so much. I hope Dawn ~ that this gives you the same feeling of *well being* as it does me. "When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet ~ shared with our family by Hospice of the Valley. Paul and I know that the loss of a parent is so difficult ~ for you and Paul having lost ` both ~ is truly life changing. We wrap our arms around you and send wishes of hope in your healing. Love, Sabrina & Paul
