Kimberly Adamsheck Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from May 22 to May 23, 2002.
Kimberly Hal Adamsheck, of Minnetonka, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, at the age of 44 after a courageous 4½ year battle with cancer. She was born July 7, 1957 in St. Louis Park to Lois and Clarence Amundson. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of MN Dental Hygiene School in 1979. She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church where she was an active member of the Rachel Circle and a confirmation guide. Kim also volunteered countless hours at her ``home away from home'', Scenic Heights Elementary School. Kim was a loving wife and mother who cherished her friends, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews and relatives. She was a ``second mom'' to many of her children's friends and her confirmation students who were precious to her. Kim's courage, strength, positive attitude and creativity were an inspiration to many. She was truly a child of God and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Kim is survived by her husband, Jeff; sons, Grant Michael & Tyler Jeffrey; daughter, Hallee Christine; beloved sisters, Karen (Curt) Cotton & Kathy Amundson; brother, Grant Amundson; parents-in-law, Jim & Eilene Adamsheck; brother-in-law, Mike Adamsheck; and many loving family and friends. Visitation Thursday 5-8 PM at the Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Rd. (1 blk. N. of Hwy. 5). Memorial service Friday 4 PM at All Saints Lutheran Church, 15915 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka. Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel 952-975-0400

To the Family of Kimberly Hal Adamsheck may I offer my sincere condolences for your loss. I have learned from experience that at times like this, encouragement and comfort is needed because hearts are broken and the spirit is crushed. However, God is close to you now when you suffer and understands your pain. He has promised to comfort all those who mourn by wiping out all tears from your eyes. (Psalms 34:18; Revelation 21:4;) I know the pain is insurmountable but try to remember this, there are people who care and you are not alone. We are praying to the Most High GOD and asking him to bless, comfort and support you and the family now and in the days to come.

Respectfully yours,

J. Waters

Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Heaven is truly a brighter place now, and may Kim's bright spirit shine down and light your path, now and forever.

Michael lost his mom to cancer when he was a teenager, so he has a special understanding of what you're going through, and he sends you extra-special thoughts and prayers.

My sincere condolences to the Terry - Amundson - Adamshek families. I remember Kim from her bubbling baby days... as the daughter of my cousin Lois. She was truely a person to be admired for her vivacity, courage in times of trial and her love of family and friends. She will be missed but always in our hearts.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family. We came to know Kim and the family better during baseball for Tyler 2 years ago. Kim always had a positive attitude and helped out at the school all the time. She will for sure be missed.

The family will be in our prayers.
