Norman E. Kyrklund

Norman E. Kyrklund, age 84, of Bloo- mington, MN, born in Winthrop, MN on 10/2/17, died suddenly on 3/28/02. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, L. LaVonne ``Tuvy''; two daughters, Dr. Sarah Jane Kyrklund and Merrie Dahlgren (Dr. David); two granddaughters, Dr. Sarah Pritts (Dr. Tim) and Kari Dahlgren (Ed de Ugarte); sister, Myrtle Adams; and many other relatives and friends. Norm was a great athlete. He played on a national champion South High School (Minneapolis) football team, and won the Great Lakes Naval Station wrestling championship during his time in the military. He was a graduate of Hamline University, and went on to successful careers in coaching and in the investment business. Norm always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football, and was an avid and accomplished rose gardener. Most of all, however, Norm loved his family, cheering on and taking great pride in the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. Private burial is Monday, April 1 at Winthrop, MN. Service of rejoicing and remembrance is at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Blvd., Edina, 952-929-1697.
