Johnson, Ralph Harold age 89, of St. Louis Park, passed away peacefully on Oct. 14, 2011. Dearly beloved Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather and Great- Grandfather. Preceded in death by Bernice, his wife of 62 years. Survived by sisters, Janet Whipple and Frankie (Gary) Larsen; daughters, Barbara (Mehmet) Bilgutay, Linda (Richard Farley); sons, David (Theresa), Thomas (Steph), Paul (Cindy); fourteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Ralph served in WWII and the Korean War as a Captain in the U.S. Marines. He was a successful self-employed accountant with businesses located in Minneapolis and St. Petersburg, FL. After retirement, Ralph volunteered his services with Hospice and the Park Nicollet Clinic in St. Louis Park. Ralph was an avid fishing, camping and boating and downhill skiing enthusiast. He was skilled in woodworking, designing and building canoes and boats along with his sons and his best friend, Robert Parrish. Prior to Bernice's passing, he and Bernice spent time traveling to various places overseas and in the U.S. Ralph was an excellent cook and baker. Much to the delight of his large family, Ralph provided his culinary skills to host many wonderful and memorable parties. Ralph will be dearly missed.
