I remember meeting Tom for this first time at Metro Studios through Randy Schwoerer. We were recording the first "Pretty Boy" EP and Tom was at the mixing console. I learned so much from watching and from asking so many annoying questions. He was a huge inspiration when I was building my home studio. I wanted to do exactly what he was doing! Tom was a perfectionist, intense, and extremely focused when he was at work in the studio. Thank you Tom for all of the help and support you gave me over all the years. I will never forget you!
Thank you!

Dear Tommy, friends and family; I'm often reminded of just how great of an Engineer Tuck was and still is in my mind. He was a great partner at Master Mix and we all benefited by his expertise. To this day I often think to myself, what would Tuck do to get this bass guitar just right, background vocal part's to pop....We miss you and your talents.
Blessings and love always, RIP Tuck.

I knew Tom just outside of High School, and lost track of him because lives diverge. I just finished watching the video of his life. I am so grateful he went on to do so much with his life and with those he loved. He was my Knight-In-Shining-Armor in those days and his mother was one of the kindest women I have ever met. I want to tell you all who spent the rest of his life with him that Life is not over; it is merely changed. Love doesn't die, as long as there is life to receive it.

Dear Tom and family. Tom was my mentor and idol. He got me involved in the recording business in 1972 at Triad studios in Des Moines, IA. Tom, you taught me how to have a great mixing ear for music, sound effects and voices, which (wife) Vickie and I applied to our own advertising agency business for over 22 years. Your expertise enabled us to provide expert audio recordings for our many clients. We owe so much to you for our many years of success in the audio business. Your talent direction was always spot on! Your mixing ability and true professionalism was unmatched in the entire midwest. How proud we were of you to make the move to Minneapolis and become what you became and what you accomplished! What a true pleasure and priviledge it was to be your friend and business associate for over 14 years. I have bragged about you for decades and continue to do so. You have no idea what an impact you made on our lives, and continue to do so as I record commercials for my clients. You will be missed by thousands, but no more so than Tommy, Jr., Nicole and Jackie, and your loved ones. That includes me and my wife, Vickie. I will think of you and your family daily, as I will mourn your passing more than I have ever mourned anyone else. You were my rock, as I'm sure you were many others' rock. Tommy, Jr. will live on to ensure your legacy. Tough shoes to fill, but he will live daily to fill them...and you will always be proud of him, as he is cut from the same cloth as you. Rest easy my true friend, my idol, my mentor. There will never be another person quite like Tom Tucker!

My sympathy to Tommy, Nicky, Jackie and the whole Tucker family.
I worked with Tom at Triad Studios from the beginning in 1974 - until he went to Mpls in 1985. What a ride! Lots of commercials & music were produced and that included lots of fun & laughter as well. Tons of 1/4" tapes & cassettes:) Those indeed "were the good old days".
Lots of memories shared with you and my family, John & Anna.
Happy Trails to you until we meet again. Love you Tuck.

Our hearts, love and
Prayers go out to Tommy Jr, Nicky, Jackie, Stacie and Sue and grand kids.
We've been close friends for over 40 years and have worked together doing music
for most of that time. Tommy and I were inseparable through out the 80s, 90s as
well into new millennium. We spent hours and hours together in and out of the
studio producing and mixing some of the finest music ever. Tommy was one of the
most innovative and musical engineers I'd ever had the pleasure to work with.
His beautiful ears for what music was supposed to sound like is unsurpassed.
Together, Tommy and I created incredible sounding projects that were to me, the
reason why God put us here!
Most of all, he was our dearest friend.......we laughed, cried, and had both
good and bad times together.... But mostly good... Tommy had the biggest heart
and loved to give it up to whomever would except it.
Why he had to go so soon, I don't know. I only wish I could've been by his side.
We're by your side Tommy, and I know your by ours, and always will be. You will
always be an inspiration to me and to all whom you have touched.. You will never
be forgotten and your spirit will live in our hearts forever my dear brother. We
love you Tom. I'll miss you my friend.. We'll catch up some other time...

Thank you for being silly with Layla and making her laugh. You have a wonderful family that I'm very fortunate to be a part of and forever grateful. We'll miss you dearly. Love, Katie

To The Tucker Family,
My sincere condolences, in the loss of Tom. I played hundreds of sessions with him, and I offer what I feel is the best compliment a musician can give. Musically and emotionally, Tom was indeed the 5th member of the rhythm section, and without him the music could not have occurred. Moreover, his unique quiet and encouraging personal presence on every roll of the tape, will be greatly missed.
Warmest Regards,

I met Tom initially at Metro Studios in the late 1980's. I think I drove him crazy with all of the technical questions I asked him while we were recording "Pretty Boys" first full length album. I was really drawn to Tom's ability with regards to recording. Over the years I've seen Tom at various studios. He also helped with the mixing on the Artist's Quarter's B3 Organ Tuesday Night Band's effort, which was recorded at MMI. He was a perfectionist!
Thanks Tom! You will be remembered!

Where do I even begin? Tuck opened my eyes and ears to music. I learned so much from his vast knowledge of music and the industry. He was always quick with a joke, always wore that contagious smile of his, and never let anything get him down. He always found a way during class to sneak in a story about working with all these great musicians and what to do or not do if we ever ended up in the same situation during our career. He also loved telling stories about when he was younger and about his family. They usually made us all laugh, but he spoke so highly of his family and friends that you knew he loved them all so much.
My fondest memory of Tuck was probably the longest conversations I ever had with him. Near the end of my fourth semester at MMI, I had arrived to class early like usual, and he started asking me about what I planned to do after I was done with school. Where did I want to go, and what did I want to do? When I told him all the hopes and dreams I had planned out, he looked me in the eyes, and told me that he had confidence in me and that I could do anything I set my mind to. He made me feel so good about myself that day, and it warmed my soul that someone I barely even knew saw so much potential in me.
Rest In Paradise, Tuck. Someday I hope we'll meet again.

Words cannot express my sorrow at the passing of this dear, talented, and wonderful man. Midst this horrific grief, I am only consoled by the fact that most certainly the choirs of heaven have never sounded better. Heartfelt sympathy to Tom's family and many close friends and colleagues.
Living in Manhattan, I met throngs of musicians who would fly to Minneapolis simply to benefit from Tom's unsurpassed ability to create magical sounds. He was a great friend, supporter, and had the most amazing staying power in the studio of anyone I have had ever known.
Heart of gold, brilliant, focused and funny. I will miss you Tom. God bless you and your family. Surely you will continue to do great work and watch over everyone from Heaven. We love you - you spicy Meatball you.
