William Kicklighter Obituary

BROOKLET, Ga. - Mr. William R. Kicklighter, age 87, died at his residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. He was a longtime resident of Bulloch County and retired from Shepherd Lumber Company. Mr. Kicklighter was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where he was an active member for many years. He enjoyed gardening, visiting nursing homes and helping those in need. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josie Kicklighter.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Kicklighter of Brooklet; his grandchildren, Debra Kaye Meadows of Orlando, Fla., and Dennis Meadows of Alabama; and his great-granddaughter, Terasa Meadows of Brooklet.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Clifford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building or Bible Fund, 10290 Highway 80 East, Brooklet, Ga. 30415.
Hodges-Moore Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.

Sorry to hear Mr. Kicklighter had passed away. He was truly an influence to me and my family growing up. I know that he will be missed by a lot by family and friends.
