Kelly Williams Obituary

Kelly Rubye Etnyre Williams Kelly Rubye Etnyre Williams was born in Dixon, Illinois on November 5, 1959, and passed from this life on December 14, 2012 in Round Rock, Texas. The daughter of Peggy Simmons and Daniel Etnyre, Kelly was a twin to her beloved sister, Kim, and was a vital part of a large blended family. She graduated high school from Calallen High School, just outside Corpus Christi, Texas, where she and Kim had moved at age 16 to become part of their Uncle Jesse Simmons' large family. Kelly went on to attend the University of Texas at Dallas, where she completed her undergraduate work, and she completed her Masters degree in Counseling at Texas A & M, East Texas State. During her academic career, she was also a devoted single mom to her son Dustin. She met Ronnie Williams during this time, and in 1991, they married and later had two more sons, Daniel and Jeremy. She began her professional life with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, where she worked in the Child Protective Services Division. She later worked for A World for Children, a nonprofit child placement agency. Continuing to raise her three sons, she worked on a contract basis, performing home reviews related to child safety and wellness. During the past year, Kelly served as a substitute teacher throughout the Round Rock School District. She also gave generously of her time as a volunteer for Texas Oncology, where she visited and supported cancer patients as they received outpatient chemotherapy treatments. A woman of many interests, she loved photography, movies, music, interior decorating, and travel. In spite of her accomplishments and interests, nothing compared to her fervent love for enjoying and lavishing attention on her family, especially her children. Kelly is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ronald Lanier Williams; son Dustin Cole Shultz and his fiancée Monica Kiefer; son Daniel Lanier Williams, his partner Brittany Talley and their beautiful daughter Julianna Amelia Talley-Williams; and son Jeremy Reese Williams, all of Round Rock. Kelly is also survived by her biological and spiritual 'other half', sister Kimberly Jean Etnyre and Kim's son, Nickolas Andrew Etnyre, both of Austin, and her other siblings, Michael, Wendy, Jennifer, Dan and Robert. She is recently predeceased by her beloved uncle Jesse Simmons, who served as a second father and loving protector. Kelly also leaves to mourn her passing her biological parents, Peggy Simmons of Arcadia, Florida and Daniel Patterson Etnyre of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth Yenzer of Miami, Florida, and many cherished friends and extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday December 21st at Beck Funeral Home of Round Rock 15709 Ranch Road 620 Austin, Texas 78717. You are invited to share a message or memory in the memorial guestbook at www.beckchapels.com The family is grateful for the love and support of their friends and community and requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Kelly's honor to the charity of your choice.

Kelly Rubye Etnyre, not a day or night goes by that we do not remember you. It is so hard to accept that you were gone so soon. It seems not so very long ago that we were just kids and cousins in Arcadia. It has now been more than four long painful years of denial that you are really gone and trying to understand the causes that can never be understood. I cherish all the memories but I can never heal from the loss; there just isn't enough time left in my life to ever heal from it. You are not forgotten and you will never be forgotten by those of us who always dearly loved you and truly cared about you so very very very much.

Kelly for those of us who love you so much, we have been changed forever with you no longer here in this place with us. Missing your unique presence and the sadness we feel in so many different ways are constant reflections. However, we do feel the touch of your spirit and we know you still live in the place where one day we will be blessed to rejoin you and be made whole again. We will never forget you.

You will always be in my heart,Kelly, my dearest and best friend. I have many cherished memories of our adventures in life and smile, sometimes laugh hysterically, when I think of all we did (and go away with!). I will miss you dearly, sweet Kelly. Until we meet again...love ya, liz
