Joyce BUCKELEW Obituary

BUCKELEW, Joyce LaNelle

On Wednesday, December 4, 2013, Joyce LaNelle Buckelew passed away at her home in Blanco, Texas. Born on January 6, 1934, Joyce graced this earth for 79 years before leaving this world and entering into the Glory Land to be with her lord Jesus Christ. Born to Willis and Ethel Purgason, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Buckelew.

Joyce had great love for many things in this world especially children and flowers. Joyce and her husband ran the Big Wheel truck stop in Oak Hill for many years, after selling the truck stop she started driving buses for the Austin Independent School District. She filled her bus routes with her love for children often stating that her favorite routes were those that helped children with disabilities. She moved to Blanco, Texas after retiring.

She is survived by daughters: Sharon Crochet, and Barbara Triesch; son, Ronnie Reeves; and stepson, Jimmy Buckelew. Joyce was also blessed with six grandchildren, Kathy Kalinowska, Cody Triesch, Justin Triesch, Shanna Donaldson, Christy Crochet, and Lindsey Crochet; and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Darrell Ayers to officiate. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

To honor Joyce's life and her love of children the family requests that you help a needy family this Christmas!

Joyce was such a special lady -- she touched so many lives. I'll never forget...she taught me about the finer foods in life -- a mashed up pinto bean sandwich! I love them to this day! So very sorry for your loss, but she has been restored & walking hand in hand with Jesus in the quiet of the Garden!

Joyce was a wonderful considerate person. Always helping out people with needs. She was a devoted Child of God and no doubt she is now in Haven. God Bless.
