Jack Willis Obituary

Jack M. Willis, Sr. Jack M. Willis, Sr., 86, of Austin died Friday, November 28, 2008, in an Austin Hospital. Jack was battling a lengthy chronic illness. A Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden Funeral Home on Monday, December 1, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside Services will follow at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Dr., on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., December 2, 2008. Jack is survived by his wife, Flossie "Nena" Willis; brother, Jim Willis and wife, Sara of Alcoa, TN; brother, Eugene Willis and wife, Glafrey of Athens, TN; his sons: Jack Jr. of Thorndale, Larry, and Paul of Austin, Michael of San Antonio, and daughter, Sandi Duncan of Austin; as well as numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and many special loved ones and friends. Jack and his wife celebrated 62 wonderful years of marriage. Jack proudly served his country during World War II in the 9th Armored Division. He was a beloved and amazing husband, father, brother, grandfather (Papaw) and friend to many. He was a man of many words and will be long remembered for his dry and witty jokes. He will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to know him.
