This is Diane from Dr. Williamson's office and I had spoken to Phillip a few times and had the opportunity to visit Monie at the assisted living facility. I am so sorry to hear Monie has gone to be with the Lord and with her loving husband, Curtis. I knew them both very well as I would see one of the other every 3 months for their cleanings. They were wonderful people and I know they are missed by you all.
Blessings!

Mom and dad really were special. I am sad they are both gone but very happy they lived so long. We were lucky they both were pretty healthy until the last few years of their lives. They also had the resourses to get the best care avaliable.Even dad with his dementia stayed healthy up until the last few years. We were blessed in that way. I loved them both very much.I I don't think words can describe how much I miss them both and how much I wish the three of us were all still at home together as challenging as that was at times!

I will miss you Monnie Kathryn. She was a loving cousin who I will always cherish in my thoughts and memories.
She and I discussed many times how we were so blessed by wonderful parents and family. I remember the many wonderful times we had growing up. Thank GOD for her life and her being a part of my life.
My thoughts and prayers to all of the family. Joe Bell

My sweet Aunt Monie showed me what it looked like to be a real southern bell, and a gracious hostess. When we would visit, she would treat us like one of her own. There would be a great meal, which included her own children and lots of stories from the past and present, as we all sat around the table enjoying each other. She and Uncle Curtis always made us feel so welcome - just like we belonged there! I loved her and will miss the joy that she brought to life. To Phillip, Curtis, Monie Beth, Mike, and all the grands - I will keep you in my prayers for comfort, peace, and healing for your broken hearts.

Monie and I were friends since kindergarten. I lived across the street from her on Lucille Ave. I spent as much time at her house as I did my own. We went through elementary school at J.C. Harris and then through High School at Brown High. We both graduated in 1952.I loved monie and I was devastated when she moved to Texas but we kept in touch by letters and phone till the end. Condolences go out to all her many friends and family. Phillip you were such a blessing to both of your parents taking such wonderful care of them. Monie told me before she became sick she did know what she would do without you helping her with your dad. She will be missed by all who knew her but I know she is in such a great place now with her Lord and Savior with no more pain and suffering ever again. Farewell dear friend. Love, Betty McKenzie Smith
