Jerry's work really inspired me as a young artist and one his paintings was the first thing I ever collected from another artist. He really had great talent. Thanks for the beauty you left in the world!

We just finished our 60th anniversary exhibit at HCAF. It was a challenge to choose pieces to represent 60 years of the arts at our gallery. However, I always knew we would hang some of Jerry's work. He was a huge supporter of HCAF, a teacher, award winning exhibitor and a mentor to me when I came in as the arts center director. One of the finest artists I have had the pleasure to know. I an currently showing a diptych he donated to our permanent collection. I miss him every day.

I've just learned of Jerry Seagle's passing with much sadness. I own a triptych he painted 20 years ago, and it continues to give me great pleasure every day. Condolences to his loved ones.

Jerry was the most brilliant artist I ever knew. My head spins when I look at his work and the complexity and beauty of it.
He shared so many of his feelings and his many philosophies with me in the course of many years of phone conversations.
He never ceased to encourage me , answer questions on technique, and spur me on with his often hilarious comments. I feel a great sadness that I can no longer look forward to sharing special moments in which he would always end with I love you.
I first met Jerry at Myrtle beach in a class he was giving and we have remained soul mates since then.
Will always miss you Jerry.....Dorothy

I was saddened to hear today of Jerry's passing.
I considered him one of my dearest lifelong friends, which began one hopeful day in the mid 70s on 6th street, downtown Austin, when he lent his enormous talent to Center Stage Theater and his devoted friendship to me, the Artistic Director.
We spent many wonderful hours attempting to bring worthwhile entertainment and exhibitions to the public and I will always be grateful for the "theater series" of paintings he did conveying his artistic impression of the shows and experiences he had at the theater.
I will miss you my friend and Thank you!

Had Jerry as an instructor at the Autumn Art Workshops in Halsey NE back in the early 90's. He was an Amazing instructor as well as a fabulous artist. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him. Peace to you, Jerry.Connie Leavitt Estes Park, CO

Jerry and I became friends late in our lives. He advised me, nurtured me and supported me in my job at the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram, Texas. He entered every show that he could and I am so glad I got to know him. I will miss him terribly.

Jerry was the first to encourage me to work with watercolors and I am grateful for that.
